On Thursday the 27th of July, the LMMI held an event at the Robertson Library as part of the UPEI Reunion Weekend. There were two exciting announcements, as well as a celebration of the new initiatives and publications dedicated to the life of L.M. Montgomery.

This Thursday, the 27th of July, the University of Prince Edward Island will be celebrating a Reunion Weekend, which will include a special presentation from the LMMI about one of the college's prestigious alumna, L.M. Montgomery.

In Memoriam: Roderick J. Macdonald (1951-2017)

The LMMI sends its condolences to the family of Roderick J. Macdonald, who passed away over the weekend. Roderick was the son of Ruth and Stuart Macdonald and L.M. Montgomery's grandson. The funeral details are below:

In Memoriam: David Cameron Macdonald (1943-2017)

ImageThe LMMI was deeply saddened to hear about the death of L.M. Montgomery's grandson, David Cameron Macdonald. David was a longtime supporter of the Institute. In April 2002, he and his sister Catherine donated 18 books that belonged to their father, Chester Cameron Macdonald, which is now part of the Macdonald Collection.
