LM Montgomery & Canadian culture [review]
Dundas, Deborah, Irene Gammel, and Elizabeth Epperly. “Lm Montgomery & Canadian Culture [Review]”. Quill & Quire 65.7 (1999): 47. Print.
At first glance [Irene Gammel] and [Elizabeth Epperly]'s new collection of essays, L.M. Montgomery and Canadian Culture, may seem an odd idea. [Montgomery]'s most famous creation, Anne Shirley (of Anne of Green Gables fame) may be a must-read for every Canadian schoolgirl, but Montgomery hasn't been included in the Canadian literary canon. Putting her up there with Alice Munro, W.O. Mitchell, or even Susannah Moodie just doesn't sound right., Source type: Electronic(1), http://rlproxy.upei.ca/login?url=http://search.proquest.com/?url=http://search.proquest.com/docview/235667153?accountid=14670
