- The Secret of Patty's Place
- Over the years, readers of L.M. Montgomery's novels have continually asked "Where is Patty's Place?" Certainly, Maud Montgomery gave specific, descriptive directions in of Anne of the Island published in 1915. “...up the pine-fringed hill from the park [Point Pleasant Park]. Just on the crest, where Spofford Avenue [Young Avenue] petered out into a plain road, was a little white frame house.” Many of these readers have made a pilgrimage to Young Avenue in quest of that little white house., Source type: Print(0), http://www.weebly.com/uploads/2/2/6/5/226525/the_shining_scroll_2012_part_2.pdf

- New & Noteworthy
- LEAD: THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, by C. S. Lewis. (Mentor/New American Library, $2.95.) When this book of epistles from the Devil to his disciple was published in 1943, our reviewer, P. W. Wilson, praised C. S. Lewis for a clever portrayal of ''the devious processes of the diabolical mischief-makers,'' adding that ''somewhere in the inferno there must be considerable annoyance.
